| The traditional design method of injection mold mainly relies on the intuition, experiences of designers. After the mold is created, the mold need to go through repeated testing and modifying before putting into mass production.This method has been unable to adapt to the requirements of shorter product development cycle, high quality and low cost. Injection mold CAE technology replaces traditional method of testing mold.It can simulate the actual injection forming process on the computer screen before the mold is created.It can forecast the influence that mold design and molding conditions impact on products,help designers to find potential problems of mold design and modify the design of parts and molds timely.This technology can effectively guarantee product’s quality, reduce product’s development cycle,improve productivity and help enterprise to increase economic efficiency.This article mainly researched the injection molding numerical simulation and the mold design flow of phone shell.First,analysis pre-treatment work such as import model, division finite element mesh, set the process parameters, select material and so on was carried on using Moldflow software.Then, through the best gate location analysis, filling analysis, cooling analysis, warp analysis.The analysis result charts of the best gate location, weldline, cooling time and warp was obtained.Through contrasting analysis results, the best gate location and cool system program was selected.Finally, the entire design cycle of injection mold was researched using Mold Wizard module of UG software.The more ideal mold structure was obtained. The injection mold CAE technology was applied to mold design, which can forecast the best runner position, the injection molding flaws of product, the cooling time and so on before the mold was designed. It can also provide scientific basis for improving technological parameters and adjusting mold design programs.It has important guide significance for actual production. |
