The Study On Natural Disasters In Henan Jiangbei Province Of Yuan Dynasty

Henan Jiangbei Province is a region that natural calamity stroked seriously in Yuan Dynasty. By counting and analyzing the historic natural calamities of lu or fu, which are distributed along the Yellow River,Huai River and the Yangze river within the territory of Henan Jiangbei Province,The thesis focuses on three points to study the natural disasters in Henan Jiangbei province.Henan Jiangbei Province is a vast region with frequent natural disaaters,which between the Yellow River and the Yangze river, Huai River through the province.The first part of the article is statistics and analysis of natural disaters,such as floods and droughts, locusts, earthquakes and other natural disasters in the form of tables, the contents of tables are based on “Yuan Shi”, local chronicles, Yuan anthology and so on. The second part of the article discusses the general characteristics and regularity of natural disaters.Then the results show that flood is the main disaster in Henan Jiangbei Province, occur most frequently, which was followed by Plague of locusts. As the spatial distribution, the natural disasters of every lu or fu,which distributed along the Yellow River, is the most frequently, followed by the Yangtze River, the natural disasters of every lu or fu,which distributed along Huai River, is relatively light. Then from natural factors such as climate,hydrology ……,and artificial river, unreasonable use of land and other social aspects to explore the causes of the natural disasters.The third part analysis the influence of natural disasters, flood and plague of locusts and other disaster influenced agriculture economy and society so much. Then study the preventive and rescue measures of natural disasters in Henan Jiangbei Province, such as brought the Yellow River under control, planted mulberry trees and Jujube tree,Ru su bu guan……,as well as research on the problems in the disaster relief,aiming at providing the modern people with some references.
