The tailings reservoir is not only the most important one in the three main body of mine construction production, but also a major hazard source, once the accident,the economic, the environment and other harm can not be ignored. At present, most of the tailings reservoir in China require high terrain condition, which makes a lot of Library sites far away from the selection plant and highway, and the construction process is complex, transportation and management cost is very large. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the strength of the tailings dam safety factor and to explore the stability of the tailings dam under complicated terrain conditions.This paper through field visit many of the tailings dam construction, combined with a large number of documents. For a complex terrain conditions of the proposed project is analyzed by numerical simulation. The stability analysis, given the complex terrain condition of dam construction in the possibility of scientific management advice. First, on the stability of tailings dam analysis method are introduced, selected for this research method — numerical simulation; secondly,according to the collected a tailings nearly a decade of detection data, using SPSS software calculated the correlation, and draws a conclusion that five from strong to weak factors, and in turn were analyzed.Finally, combined with the actual proposed project, explored areas with similar tailings of hydrological and engineering geological conditions, sedimentary laws and the physical and mechanical properties,using CAD software to create the complex topographical tailings dam conceptualmodel and mesh model was imported into ANSYS, the dam did not accumulate in and piled up to the specified height of should stress field changes are analyzed by FLAC3 D software contrast.This paper first makes use of the correlation software to analyze the ten factors that may cause the stability of tailings dam. The selection and removal of the five main factors, which have a strong representation. Established the complex three-dimensional tailings dam probability model, can better reflect the real situation,and puts forward the corresponding measures for the administration of and research for the future similar terrain conditions established tailings dam and the later period management has guiding significance.
