Study On the Crosslinking behavior of Polycarboxyl DyeEsterification crosslinking of carboxyl dye was reported in the literatures, but all of them only focused on mono-carboxyl dye.In this paper, Polycarboxyl Black( I ),Polycarboxyl Red( II), Polycarboxyl Yellow( ~) and Polycarboxyl Blue( IV), among which 50COOHs were present in Dye(I) and 4-COORs were present in Dye (II), (Hi) or (IV), were selected to study their crosslinking dyeing and finishing effect, aiming at investigating the chemical bond between dye and fibre and the one-bath and one-step dyeing and crease resistance finishing effect. This paper emphasised on the crosslinking behavior of cotton fiber and discussed the influence of pre-treatment, crosslinking agents, catalyst and assistants on the dyeing and finishing properties. The dyeing and finishing process parameters that lead to no yellowness damage, low fixing temperature, high fixation efficiency and flesh and full colour are optimized. The major study of this paper was concentrated on Polycarboxyl dye( I ), and the satisfactory results that fix efficiency 95%, wet fastness 3? grade were obtained. After the dyeing condition was optimized, the crosslinking behavior and property of Dye( II) .~ Dye(HI) and Dye(IV), were studied. On the other hand, the dyeing efficiency of Dye( I)~ Dye( II )~. Dye(II1) and Dye(IV) on some materials, such as silk, wool, leather, polyester and cotton blends was examined.
