In the production of compound fertilizer, drying is one of the most important working procedures. After drying the moisture of the compound fertilizer can be decreased from 10% to less than 2%, which provide the basic condition for its storage, transportation and avoidance from caking. So drying is important to the quality of compound fertilizer. For the chemical complexity of compound fertilizer is unusual, the techniques parameter of drying is more strict than others. So in order to plan reasonable drying technology, develop and design dehydrator of effectiveness and saving energy, it has very important technological worth to research hot air temperature and moisture distribution rules in practical deep-bed drying process. The main content of the paper is: 1.The compound fertilizer NPK(15:15:15) which is produced in Dalian Chemical Industry Company is experimental studied, the semi-experiential drying equation and mathematical expressions of drying-constant A,K in it are set up. 2.The drying of granule compound fertilizer in fixed-bed is researched by both experiments and simulations. The change rules of moisture and temperature when drying is analyzed by experiments and simulations, and the influence of the temperature and airflow rate on drying rate is also analyzed. The following conclusion are drew: 1.The semi-experiential drying equation and mathematical expression about drying-constant in the equation for granule compound fertilizer NPK(15:15:15) is set up, which can be used to ascertain the drying rules in some parameter range. 2.The change rules of moisture and temperature when drying in fixed-bed is attained. The results of experiment and simulation are good agreement andthe relative error betw6en them is Iess than 10%.3'The influence of the main faCtors on drying rat6 is quantit8tiveIyanaIyzed' Drying rat6 is obviousIy increased with raising of temperature of thehot air, and airfIow rate has less effeCt on drying rat6.
