Flood Damage Assessment Information Systems Research

In this study, based on the brief narration of the flood damage'scharacteristics and causes, combined with the high technology of RemoteSensing and Geographic Information System, the method of how to evaluatethe flood damage quickly was explored, that is, the classification of land andthe extraction of flood area was finished in the RS images-processingsoftware of ENVI, the Information System of flood damage, Digital TerrainModel and the Evaluation Information System of flood damage were built onthe GIS flat of GeoMedia. The problem of integration of the multi-sourcedata was solved, at the same time, how to build the evaluation model of flooddamage and the model of flood elevation was explored instructively, thecalculating formula was given too. The application example showed that theevaluation model was right and the data were precise, which could evaluatethe real-time flood damage and provide evidence for the leader's decision-making, which also has instructive significances for the theory of the evaluation of flood damage.
