paper made an in-depth study in the principle of vibration Stress Relief in this thesis. Based on the research results, a computer-controlled mechanism, which can test and analyze the process of vibration stress-relief , was designed and manufactured. In chapter one, the background of residual stress-relief through vibration, and then followed by its advantage and current status, is introduced and analyzed. Finally, the open problems and main study content of this thesis are proposed. From the view of stress-strain principle of the metal and micro-mechanics, the theory of stress-relief through vibration is systematically analyzed in chapter two. With the discussion of relationship between shift and remanent stress, the conditions of vibration exciter to relieving remanent stress globally are obtained. On the basis of analysis on the process of remanent stress-relief through vibration, the author finds the essential reasons of the increase of workpiece's stability are the improvement and even distribution of material's interval shift density after vibration. In the end of this chapter, the relationship between remanent stress-relief through vibration and the fatigue life of workpiece is objectively investigated and we conclude that reasonable vibration will not decrease but increase the fatigue life of workpiece. The system of remanent stress-relief through vibration is introduced in detail in chapter three. In chapter four, the author discusses the computing method of parameters such as excited force, vibration frequency and vibration time. From the view of vibration, the experimental procedure is scientifically arranged. In the end, the dynamic variation law between the workpiece parameters and vibration is deeply analyzed and then the evaluation rules of vibration effect are discussed.A series of experiments on the workpiece are carried out in chapter five. Based on observation of the shift density variation before and after vibration, we analyze the test process and results systematically and then make a responding conclusion. In chapter six, systematical summary is given, and some problems under to study in future are put forward.
