The mathematical model of water quality is an equation which is using describing the translating discipline of the pollutant in the water. We can use mathematical model of water quality in forecasting the infection of nature course and human activity to the water. It is also widely used in estimating the burden of the waste water discharging and the spot or non-spot infectant pouring into the water body.The mathematical model of water quality can be divided into river model,reservoir model,oce,an model and so on. The river model is more simplified than the reservoir model and ocean model . We can use mathematical model of water quality to describing the organic substance,non-organic substance,radiation substance and so on. The mathematical model of water quality is mainly used in simulating the organic infectant in the water. BOD-DO model is one of the well-rounded models in water- polluted controlling.The earliest mathematical model of water quality was establelished by Streeter and Phelps when they studied on the planning of River Ohio. 1925-1965 is the first stage on establishing water quality models. Streeter-Phelps modeK Thomas model -,Oonner model Dobbins-Camp model are very famous consuming oxygen models for us. Now,more and more computers are used on our research,most of the biologhy and chemistry reactions have been known by us,the evaluating values of multi-dimentional parameters on BOD-DO models has been developed. The Qual-I and Qual-2 mathematical models of water quality is becoming more and more successful in predicting and planning of the water quality since 1980s. The mathematical model of water quality has already establelished on theriver of Delaware Willamette Fox TimesTrent Saint John Neckar and SeieneNormandy. In our country,mathematical model of water quality is also used widely. Many scientists have paid more attention on it now in our country.River Xiaoqing plays an important role on the economic and tourist of shandong province. But now it is polluted seriously,no fish could live there,no boat could run over it. It is time to rescuer it.On the basis of mass investigation to the pollution state of the non-tiding upper reach of River Xiaoqing in Jinan,combining systematical analysis method,the mathematical model of water quality for the reach has been built. Both increasing and decreasing oxygen factors have been taken into account while modeling with the aid of computer scan calculating-diagramming-gradient scouting method to evaluate thevalues of multi-dimentional parameters,the reliability of the water quality model is greatly ensured.The mathematical model of water quality to River Xiaoqing can be simplified as this:The simulating and planning of the water quality are finished emphatically. Aiming at whole cost lowest and meeting the water quality demand,we coordinate the distribution of pollution reduction quantity for each sewage system. At the meantime,the currently software -MATLAB toolbox is used in this paper,which makes the process of calculating much more easier than ever. Program of pollution control to the reach of Xiaoqing River is carried out on the ground of overall technical and economic analysis.
