In this thesis, the preparation process of a supported solid catalyst, the optimum conditions of synthesizing n-butyl acrylate(BA) in the presence of the catalyst and the reaction kinetics were investigated. The objective of the catalyst research project was the supported solid catalyst. Active AlaOa,atlapulgite and cation exchange resin were selected as the catalyst carriers which supported various active ingredients by impregnation and the supported catalysts were prepared. The catalysts applied in the synthesis of BA,the experimental results showed that the catalyst's function was better when the cation exchange resin was used as the carrier. According to the basic parameters and correlated data measurement,0017 resin was fit for the solid catalyst. The activity of Ma2+ was higher than others and the Ma2+/resin catalyst was most satisfying. After adding the catalytic promoter,HCl and improving the process, the yield of BA was up to 90%.After orthogonal trial, the optimum reaction conditions were obtained:the molar ration of n-butyl alcohol to acrylic acid was 1.2,the weights of Ma2+/resin and benzene were 10.5% and 35%(based on quantity of acrylic acid in the reactant) respectively, the yield of BA was 99.1%. The quantity of Ma2+/resin influenced the ester yield most remarkably. After repeatedly for 5 batches, the catalytic activity of Ma2+/resin didn't lower notably. The reaction kinetics, such as the rate constant of various reaction temperature, reaction order, and apparent activation energy etc.,had been examined. It showed the catalytic esterification was a first-order reaction and the activation energy was 98.928kJ-mor1.
