The development of Gear shaper cutter (GSC) CAD system has been a key project in the machinery manufacturing corp. Qassical designs for Gear shaper cutter are mostly based on practical experience by manual calculation with vast working-time, less efficiency, no scientific scheme, and poor quality.This paper makes a study on the selection of position-shift coefficient of GSC, and achieves in the following two aspects:1 put forward a mathematical model for selection of position-shift coefficient for position-shift gear, and makes an investigation on the CAD algorithms for GSC CAD system.2 Develop a CAD system of GSC with 3D modeling and simulation.The algorithm in this paper overcomes the disadvantage of the traditional ways, greatly improves the selection of position-shift coefficient, and ensures a reasonable and scientific selection of position-shift coefficient. The corresponding software developed can be used in 3D modeling of cutter-CAD and cutting- simulation. |
