As the exploitation and utilization of Tin resource at Gejiu mine field, the ground tin placer deposit is disappearing basicall and the underground oxidized vein tin deposit is reduced gradually, however the mixed tin and tin-copper-metallic sulphide ore is increased, especially which get increased in the geological reserve year by year. At the same time, former high tin, high copper bearing sulphide is reducing, therefore there is a declining trend in recovery and concentrate grade of Tin and copper. Since tin and copper associated ore have a high economic value, good study on this resource is important and help enterprise's sustainable development, and get the benefit increased.Process mineralogical study shows that the associated ore at Tongziwa is mainly cassiterrite, chalcopyrite, which are finely disseminated in coarse and fine particle size, and associated with pyrite, pyrrhotite, oxidized iron ore and gangue minerals, therefore it belongs to refractory ore.According to the properties of ore, the mineral processing scheme and investigation on current practice that the technical index declined have been carried out. Therefore the problem is put forward. Laboratory tests has been shown that liberation grind -0.074mm accounting for 60-65%, by flotation-gravity concentration and rougher tin concentrate will be through reverse flotation to remove pyrite. The technical economy index of the said technology has an obvious increased than gravity concentration-flotation-gravity concentration used in practice. That is to say, recovery of rougher tin concentrate gets 0.54 percent increased, copper recovery in concentrate raised 7.82%, removal of sulphur increases by 2.44%, tin grade 49.04 in the concentrate with sulphur 1.31%, overall the total tin recovery in rougher raised 1.96%.On the basis of test work, the commercial test was carried out for 8-day to treat the run-of-mine ore 368 tons daily, the results shown that the flowsheet as flotation-gravity concentration and rougher tin will be reverse flotation to remove pyrite is much better than the flowsheet applied in practice. Especially the grade of rougher tin concentrate by gravity has an obvious increase as the feed grade has an obvious decline, by current equipment arrangement, the recovery of tin is almost the same, but the grade of tin raised 1.66%, copper recovery raised 27.62%. Therefore the result of the laboratory test was confirmed.Through the study on mineralogical process, mineral processing technology and the arrangement of the equipment, we know the relationships among the suitable grinding, flotation-gravity concentration technology, overgrinding, recovery and quality of product.Since the Tangziao sulphide ore exists part of high tin and low pyrite sulphide in some area of the deposit. The recommended two flowsheets at the same plant is flotation-gravity concentration and gravity concentration-flotation-gravity concentration. At the same time, adjustment of current equipment to meet the need ofdifferent feed ore properties, different production capacity, which help the enterprise to low the investment and get the benefits improved...
