The heat insulation is called the fifth energy resource, increasing the technology of heat insulation is the valid measure to the corporation to performing energy reservation, cost reduction profit increasing. Our country teems the crude oil with high velocity and freezing point, in order to meet the requirement of production and energy conservation, we adopt heating measure to transport crude oil at present. Making thermal insulation to the oil gathering and reservation pipeline can reduce the heat loss of the pipeline and take benefit to transportation operation safely. With the increase of the thickness of the thermal insulation layer, the cost of heat loss decreases, however the cost spent on the thermal insulation material and building will expand. Therefore it is initial to perform the economic analysis with the basic of meeting the transportation production, then determine the optimizing thickness of the thermal insulation layer, and achieve the goal of energy conservation and cost reduction. It is at the beginning in 1980s that our country first propose the designing method of economic thickness of the thermal insulation layer, but thanks to its so such element relating to the calculation and complex calculation, it is not universally used in the engineering designation, and most of the design adopts the method of meeting the temperature gradient.This original analyzes the present situation of thermal insulation technology on the oil buried gathering and reservation pipeline and its development tendency home arid abroad; and makes indoor experiment and present testing of operation state according to the thermal insulation situation of the oil buried gathering arid reservation pipeline in Oil Recovery Plant No.5, Daqing Oilfield Corp. Ltd, at the same time calculates the heat transfer coefficient, heat loss and driving force consumption; establish the physical and mathematical model of the optimizing design to buried oil gathering and transportation pipeline; presents the theory foundation and method to the parameter determination the mathematical model; Drawing up the optimization design software, optimizing the thickness of thermal insulation layer, and makes comparatively analyses to its effect. This research fruit has direction sense to the thermal insulation design and reconstruction of the oil buried gathering and reservation pipeline in Oil Recovery Plant No.5 Daqing Oilfield Corp. Ltd.
