Simulation technique of NC machining is adopted .It can not only examine correctness and rationality of NC procedure, but also reduce higher waste and cost. It is in dire solved need of opening up NC machining simulating system in manufacturing that there are maturity function and better real time.Aiming at the simulating system study of 5-axis numerical control milling ,some of existing methods are analyzed, then the paper studies how to display the model of 3-dimension entity to predigest difficulty of design and cut developing time. The design adopts SolidWorks as platform of graphic display and VB as circumstance of opening up. Communication with SolidWorks is realized by technique of OLE. The system accomplishes the model display of 3-dimension entity using application system as background control and SolidWorks as front graphics display. Simultaneously, 3-dimension reality plan of product deign is applied to the rough of part.The paper introduces the function modules of simulation system of NC machining. The system has whole Chinese simulation circumstance based on Windows. The user can directly observe the machining effect by use of 3-dimension entity model, instead of actual machining. The running result of the system shows that the method is compact and effective.
