In recent years, aluminum smelting technology has a remarkable change ,the character of the current reduction pot is not only its high amperage but also its high efficiency.160KA large scale middle-feeding pre-baked anode electrolysis pots of Aluminum corporation of China Limited Qinghai Branch has played an important role in the development of national economy and aluminum industry .With the development of aluminum industry and smelting technology innovation ,the research of improving current efficiency and lowering current consumption are chiefly topics on the basis of the present situation.According to our plant practice ,this paper introduced the technological conditions such as electrolyte (addition agent LiF), electrolyte temperature, alumina density. work voltage, AE coefficient , electrolyte level and etc,have been optimized on the basis of fuzzy intelligent control technique,the current efficiency after optimization make more progress compared with 2001 and reach to 93.5% now .Combining technology conditions optimization,the problem which effected the current efficiency have been worked out. The effect of the factors on current efficiency is not single but it has relation each other . In order to get high current efficiency,we probed the best combination point for the concerned factors on the basis of information of the technology and the equipments . Through the technological parameter optimization, operational process analysis, and equipments reconstruction.The solution after technological parameter optimization and The new way for improving current efficiency and other index have been put forwarded.At present,the development trend of electrolyte production at home are high amperage and efficiency .Toward the 160KA large scale middle-feeding pre-baked anode electrolysis pots,except increasing the potline's current intensity ,it is a economical way to improving current efficiency relying on technology conditions optimization and which suits the development trend.
