Fluorine rubber process excellent performances, especially its friction and wear properties make it as sealed accessories, gasket materials in the air and space fields. But fluorine rubber mechanical performance is lower than steel's, so often manufactured composite of steel and fluorine rubber, for gaining optimal properties hybrid materials. It can integrate these two materials outstanding properties, enlarging merits and amending shorts. Adhesion metal to fluorine rubber is a difficult problem in adhesive field. On the basis of others' interrelated studies about adhesion field, studied fluorine rubber to metal bonding in depth, analyzed main factors influence on adhesive joint systematically, evaluated overall performances of adhesives, explored the adhesion mechanism in this paper.First, prepared the resorcinol-urotropine complex from resorcinol and urotropine, developed a newly silane adhesive, FM bonding agent; reseached this adhesive by the IR(Infrared Ray), UV(Ultraviolet) spectra and DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimetry). The result shows: (1)The complex decomposes activated substances with methylene, can promote formation the chemical bond between fluorine rubber and silane coupling agent; meanwhile, these activated substances can produce many kinds of amino resin containing a large number of activated function(-OH) in the course of vulcanization, improves adhesion forces with metal. (2)FM adhesive's property in shear by tension loading exceeds 5 MPa for bonding fluorine rubber to metal, excels the Chemlok 607 adhesion agent.Then, adopted the special promoted resin with high HDT(heat deflection temperature) prepared OG adhesive, and systematically researched this adhesive by gel time, DSC curves and IR spectra. The result shows: (1)The curing temperature and time is 180℃x 3h, the best dosage of the promoted resin is 30~50phr. (2)OG adhesive's average strength property in shear by tension loading can achieve to 8~10MPa. The analysis by SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope), in conjunction with Electron Energy Spectra, indicated that: (1)The promoted resin can accelerate adhesion forces with metal, also participate bonding and vulcanizing reactions offluorine rubber. (2)The curing agent. DICY(dicyandiamide) and its decomposition compound both belong to amine, easy to diffuse to the resin and fluorine rubber surface, not only can be addition with the epoxy rapidly, and can be complexible with Fluorine rubber on interface, improve adhesion property with fluorine rubber, this is consistent with the Complex Bonding Theory.And also modified resin with a phenol compound, developed OGs adhesive, researched it by DSC, FTIR and UV. The result shows: OGs adhesive and OG adhesive have the same curing technologies and adhesion mechanism, its property in shear by tension loading is higher than 6 MPa, lower than OG adhesive slightly, but OGs adhesive has a lot of excellences, especially little dosage of solvent and simplified making technics, reduce the environmental pollution, debase the cost.Finally, compared our adhesives with Chemlok 607 and FA-1 adhesive in the same experimental conditions, proved that our adhesives' performances, especially the property in shear by tension loading were superior to these two adhesives, have outstanding general properties and ideal destructive models. TGA(Thermal Gravimetric Analysis) showed that the cured adhesives have good heat-resistance and heat stability.Based on the whole research, three kinds of adhesive are developed. These adhesives can be applied to bond fluorine rubber and metal directly, they are all better adhesives than Chemlok 607 and FA-1 for bonding fluorine rubber to metal. OG adhesive and OGs adhesive can also be applied to bond silicone rubber, have already tried out bonding fluorine rubber and metal in the automobile synchrocyclotron. The research about adhesion mechanism in the paper is worth being reference to the similar studies on adhesive.
