Lagotis brevituba Maxim. has been used as a traditional Tibetan medicine for its abilities of activating and detoxifcation. It had long been used to cure general fever, nephritis, pulmonary disease, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis and so on. There have less study and report about the chemical constituents form Lagotis brevituba. It is necessary to study mechanism of action for effective constituents with pharmacological effect of Lagotis brevituba. and supply academic evidence for the new druggery exploitation. In this study, the chemical constituents of Lagotis brevituba. were investigated and ten pure compounds were isolated by chromatography methods. Of these compounds, the structure of eight were elucidated on the basis of spectral evidence such as IR,1~HNMR, (13)~CNMR, EI-MS. and chemical methods. They are myristic acid(Ⅰ), linoleicmonoglycerol ester (Ⅱ) , β-sitosterol (Ⅲ),daucosterol (Ⅳ), palmitic monloglycerol ester (Ⅴ), succinicacid(Ⅵ), luteolin (Ⅶ), luteolin-7-O-β -D-glucoside (Ⅷ). Those compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time by this study L. brevituba.. It will be helpful for further stud and exploitation of L. brevituba. It is one of the emphases to exploit new medicine preparation of plant extraction. Using the special characteristics of cyclodextrin and its ramifications, the medicirfe can be made for inclusion compounds. Foe the sake of heightening remedial effect, increasing medicine solubility, improving medicament stability, decreasing loss of medicament and reducing damage. We studied the inclusion compounds of l,8-dihydroxy-2,6-dimethoxyxanthone with 8-CD and HP-6-CD were studied by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The results indicated that inclusion compound ofl,8-dihydroxy-2,6-dimethoxyxanthone-β-CD were formed and the association constants (K) of inclusion compounds were estimated.
