| The titled polymer are prepared from dimethyl-diallylammonium chloride (DMDAAC) , N-vinyl pyrrolidone (NVP) and butyl acrylate (BA) or butyl acrylate (IA) , through radical micellar polymerization in aquenous media. In this paper, we studided the effects of the concentration of all the monomers, temperature, initiator and surfactant to the polymerization reaction. When AIBN be initialized, which dosage be about 0.5% of the monomers, the polyreaction is the best under reaction temperature be 70℃, the concentration of all the monomers be 20 %, the dosage of surfactant (SDS) be SMR=8. It is also prepared a series of copolymer P(DMDAAC-NVP—BA) and P(DMDAAC-NVP-IA) which be different in the content of hydrophobic unit. The studies of solution properties is shown that the first, the apparent viscosity of copolymer solution increases notably with increasing copolymer concentration above a critical value; the second, the higher the hydrophobic unit content in a copolymer, the more the enhancement in viscosity of its solutions; the third, P(DMDAAC—NVP—BA) and P(DMDAAC —NVP —IA) are tolerant to salts. Aa last, the adsorption of salicylic acid has been seeing about and a preliminary discussion of the adsorption performance of copolymer has been made. |
