With the rapid development of shuttleless loom, the rapier is a better choose to develop shuttleless weaving. It's important to study the control system of rapier and improve the automatic level of rapier to enforce our country's competition of rapier. As the great part of the new rapier, the electronic let-off and electronic take-up system is a focus thesis to realize the full automatization. This paper mainly does these following works:1. This paper analyzes the latest control system and the latest electronic let-off and electronic take-up system about shuttleless loom in the domestic and international market. And presents the thesis and orientation of electronic let-off and electronic take-up system in high speed rapier.2. This paper analyzes the principle of rapier and discusses the mostly five movements of weave machine, also discusses the organs of the rapier. Besides these, the characters and methods of electronic let-off and electronic take-up system are the key thesis in this chapter. Additionally, paves the way for next discussion.3. This paper analyzes the effective factors of yarn tension and its come into beings. After these, this paper presents the method to decrease the wave peak of yarn tension and get the better signals of yarn tension. At last, this paper presents the way to get field signal of yarn tension by analyzing the two ways to get the signal.4. This paper realizes the electronic let-off and electronic take-up system by analyzing the all parts of system and come up with the hardware and software of system. This paper mainly discusses the each modules of electronic let-off and electronic take-up system's hardware and validates all these parts in field environment. Besides these, this paper presents the main control procedures of control system with a new PID control method and validates all these function at the foundation of hardware .The results prove the hardware and software of electronic let-off and electronic take-up system. Finally, this paper makes a discussion and prediction of new method of electronic let-off and electronic take-up system.
