| To set up the theoretic and experimental foundation of preparing the standards and criterion on superfine dry powder fire extinguishing agent for more studies and application, its parameters of performance are listed according to physical and chemical characteristics and referencing the standards and criterion of gaseous and volatile agent and dry chemical agent. For the physical performance including size distribution, bulk density, flow property, moisture content, hydrophobe property and anticaking property, various test methods, apparatus and conditions are selected, studied and compared. It is concluded that optical microscope is suit to the measurement of size, weighing of powder is suit to the measurement of bulk density, tamping vibration is suit to the measurement of flow property, moisture content and hydrophobe property can be measured by the methods described in GB 4066-2004, and pressuring is suit to the measurement of anticaking property. Suppression effectiveness is represented by agent concentration at extinction. The apparatus is consisted of feeding system, air supplying system, fuel supplying system and concentration measuring system. The agent concentration at extinction is measured by regulating the flow of air and feeding rate. |
