Superfine powder extinguishing agent is a new solid agent which develops based on the ordinary dry powder extinguishing agent. With the continuous improvement of production process and technology, the application scope and application areas of this fire extinguishing agent are increasing. Therefore, it is great significance for the superfine powder extinguishing agent can improve the performance and standardization utilization that researching on the new application mode of this agent.This paper introduces the research on the superfine powder extinguishing agent for local application, including the development history of superfine powder extinguishing agent, application mode, local application research status and feasibility analysis of local application for the fire extinguishing agent, building the fire model, the test results using local application for fire control and extinguishment and the research on the simulation of actual fire test based on the experiments.Through the establishment of superfine powder extinguishing agent for topical application extinguish oil pan fire model test data show that, super fine powder fire extinguishing agent through a certain spray intensity of local application mode, can in 8-10 s time completion of powder injection and in the 4-6s implementation of fire control and eradication. Through test and calculation of the data can be drawn, superfine powder extinguishing agent fire extinguishing efficiency can be reached 0.018 kg/ m~2?s to 0.027kg/ m~2?s, that is half of the general dry powder extinguishing agent effectiveness about 0.05 kg/ m~2?s. That is to say in the same fire, the same fire extinguishing device, superfine dry powder extinguishing agent than ordinary dry powder extinguishing agent can quickly put out the flames.The experiment and data of the partial application of the superfine powder fire extinguishing agent to the shelf fire and its data are given for the application of the fire extinguishing agent to the shelf fire. For lithium metal fire test proved that the superfine powder extinguishing agent for topical application to this type of fire can realize put out the fire and prevent the resurgence of the target, especially in the amount of extinguishing agent reached 8.0kg were easy to extinguish fire.Building of the test model, accumulation of the test data and drawing of the test conclusion can widen the use field of superfine powder extinguishing agent, can enhance the performance requirements of superfine powder extinguishing agent. Then at the time of the fire, it will be better to put out the fire and will make contribution to protect life and property safety.The super fine powder fire extinguishing agent for topical application experimental study first demonstrates the extinguishing agent products can be to topically applied to fire fighting; secondly the test data also shows the superfine dry powder extinguishing agent for topical application fire has good fire extinguishing effect and the extinguishing efficiency. The present study can provide theoretical and data support to local application of superfine powder extinguishing agent for fire extinguishing.
