In recent years, with the extension of urbanization, the contradiction between the human and the geological environment is increasingly sharp-pointed, and all kinds of geological disaster tends to be more serious because of excessive demand of geological resources. As a result, it is significant to carry out the research on evaluation of geological environmental quality and evaluation of suitability in constructional region, in order to ensure the security of urban construction and of mankind's lives and possession.Based on the study of the geographic and geological environment of LueYang region, including natural geography conditions, geomorphology conditions, the conditions of rock and soil, hydrographic conditions and so on. Firstly, the geological disaster environment of LueYang region is analyzed, the main research content as following: the active dislocation and the disastrous reflection thereof, the seismic reflection, as well as the reflection which were caused by dangerous slope, landslide, mud-flow, and engineering-economical activities of human. Secondly, the evaluation system and mode about geological environmental quality is established, and get the evaluation result. Thirdly, the evaluation system and the mode about suitability of construction is built up, and then evaluated the suitability of the constructional region by using nerve-net method. At last, the author proposes the countermeasures towards the future sustainable development of LueYang region and varieties geological disasters.
