Nowadays the environment and development has become one of the problems that gainsmore concern in the world. The engineering geological environment is based on theenvironmental geology and the environmental sciences and it has become the main gist of theengineering planning and construction, and it has very important function in the modernconstruction and development of society economy, it also becomes one of the preferentialresearch fields on geosciences in the future. The object of the analysis and assessment ofengineering geological environment is construction process and system. The humanengineering activities as the main characteristic of the human's functions and affection to thegeological environment is the main research of how to utilize the geological environmentreasonable, ant it's the main purpose of the engineering geologic environmental analysis andassessment. The paper is more concern about the significance and approaches of the researchof three-dimensional and visualization in the study of engineering complex geological mass.It bases on the data of field-surveyed to interpolate and simulate the landform, geologiclayers, and explore the method of engineering geology complicated geologic body 3Dmodeling and visualization as the base of the analysis of engineering geological environment,and it gains sound effect during the analysis and assessment of engineering geologicenvironmental quantity.The thesis makes use of the professional three-dimensional geological modeling softwareGOCAD (Geological Object Computer Aided Design) ,and applies to the theories andmethods of three-dimensional modeling in the actual study ,then builds up thethree-dimensional geological modeling of the center area of Nanxu new town in Zhenjiangcity, and exhibits the geologic structure of the underground information by the three-dimensional visualization. Meanwhile it provides a kind of new methods for personnelengaging in the engineering geologic environmental quality assessment which can help themanalysis the engineering geologic phenomenon and master the structure regulation in rockand soil body, etc. The means tried by author improves the research method of theengineering geologic environmental quality analysis, compared with the former researchmethod.In the paper, the established modeling can not only deepen whole understanding of theengineering geologic environment by a series of diagram, but also be out put in other formsof data documents, as the same time the geology information can be queried directly in thesoftware. The production can be conveniently input to other geography information systemsoftwares in the subsequent work, which will reduce the workload.
