With the decrease of mineral resources on land, the general trend is exploiting them on international deep sea bed. In order to protect our country's rights and interests of exploitation, we must develop deep sea technology actively. According to the plan of exploiting the mineral on international deep sea bed, China will make trial of ocean poly-metallic nodule pilot mining in 1000m deep in the tenth five-year plan of Chinese government.In order to ensure the general mining operating and motioning in phase, and to supervise and manage the mining operating condition, the project, Visualization of System Running Process in Offshore Monitor Center for Mining System Operation, aims at developing a monitor center for mining system suitable for the mining operation in 1000m deep.This dissertation deal with the research of monitor system for heavy compensation process, which is a part of the whole project. The major contents of this dissertation are as the following:1. The monitor software was designed by using the theory of Software Engineering.2. The motion trend and laws of the heavy compensation system in real ocean environments were simulated by computer according to the Design of the Trail of Ocean Mining in 1000m Deep, and the available range of device working is draw out through the results of simulation.3. The most efficient approach and software tools in realizing the real-time visualization of the monitor system were select by compare and analysis carefully.4. The problems in painting complex model and oceanic scene, zooming in the devices partially and real-time visualization were solved.5. The software and hardware for the data collection which is one of the monitor function were designed.6. Data exchange between the client computer and the server computer through the LAN was fulfilled successfully.7. Suitable type of database was selected, and background database was built.8. Monitor interface was designed, the motion trend of model was showed by the widget of the programming tool.9. The feasibility and reliability of the monitor software is proved by the experiment, and its warning function was checked too.
