In this dissertation 2,5-dimethylpyrazine-1,4-dioxide (L1) has been selected asbridging ligand and four novel complexes have been designed and synthesized, namely, the one-dimensional complex {[Cu(μ1,6-L1)(L1)2]·(ClO4)2}n (1) and thetwo-dimensional complex {[Cu(μ1,6-L1)2(H2O)]·(ClO4)2·2H2O}n (2), thethree-dimensional complexes {[Co(μ1,6-L1)3]·(ClO4)2}n (3) and{[Mn(μ1,6-L1)3]·(ClO4)2}n (4). And the same time, two novel complexes have beendesigned and synthesized, namely, the three-dimensional complex[Cd(μ1,6-L2)21,3-SCN)2]n (5) with pyrazine-1,4-dioxide (L2) and thiocyanate asbridging ligands and the one-dimensional complex [Co(μ1,6-L2)Br2(H2O)2]n (6) withpyrazine-1,4-dioxide (L2) as bridging ligand. In addition, two new complexes with4-methoxypyridine N-oxide (L3) and4-acetyl-3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5(4H)-onato (L4) as ligands, respectively, have also been synthesized, namely, the mono-nuclear complex [Zn(L3)Br2] (7) andthe mono-nuclear complex [Co(L4)2(CH3CH2OH)2] (8). The eight complexes werecharacterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy, and their crystal structureswere determined by X-ray crysrallography. The variable-temperature magneticsusceptibilities for complexes (1),(2),(3),(4) were measured at 4-300 K and themagnetic susceptibility data were fitted by using relevant fitting formulae. The studyof fluorescent spectrum of the complex (5) was made. The major characteristics and the contributions of this work are as following:1. The four novel coordination polymers have been designed and synthesizedwith 2, 5-dimethylpyrazine-1,4-dioxide as bridging ligand, and the magneticcoupling constants for the four complexes have been obtained. 2. The two novel polynulear complexes have been designed and synthesized withpyrazine-1,4-dioxide (L2) as bridging ligand; The fluorescence spectrum of complex[Cd(μ1,6-L2)21,3-SCN)2]n were studied.
