Based on the aspects of the improvement on X5325C milling machine as follows:the economy, convenience, function and reliability. This dissertation conducts thesystematic design, hardware circuit design and software design. These workimprove the functions of milling machine on some aspects as follows: the large staticand dynamic stiffness of the mechanical drive parts, the little friction factor of themotion pairs, no clearance in driving, the large power and the convenient operationand maintenance. The improved milling machine have some special functions asfollows: the program store and compile, the backward and forward rotate of maindrive system, the two grades rotating speed which has continuous speed variationwithin each grade, the operation in variable or constant speed according to the settingcurve in the area of plane and space, the random setting value and display data, thefree start-stop and the failure alarm and the communication with the master computer.The system designs of X5325C numerical machine's mechanical include thedesign and the calculation of the servo drive system, of the lead screw nut pair,parameters calculation of the main drive system, and its structure design.In the design of the feed motion's drive system, it should be removed that all thelongitudinal and the traverse and the vertical feed change gears. Joint the handle wheel axel withthe vertical stepping motor through a pair of reduction gear there, the ball screw is used instead ofthe leads crew, which is connected with the gearbox.. Accuracy of position of the improvedX5325C milling machine is±0.01mm, its precision of repeatability is±0.005mm. The motorsfor X and Y directions are able to draw the working table to have cutting and feeding motion inX and Y directions in the speed of 6-3200r/min. The main axle box is enabled to acquire a feedspeed of 3-1600r/min given by motor for Z direction. During the design of the main drive system,the machine's main axle is removed and redesigned. And byinterpolation algorithm.It makes stepper motor realize accurate location in order to achieve thework precision; Through the keyboard and the display model, it has realized the procedureedition and the display; Though other subsidiary system's design, it has realized the machinefunction's consummation.
