The feasibility of the engineering-project of a high precisionaluminum plate and strip production line with the production capacity of100 kt/a including the market analysis of products, process concept,equipment selection, environment protection, investment effect and so onis studied comprehensively. Based on the building conditions, the reporthas compared multiple building schemes with each other for seeking anoptimum one, which including the market analysis, building scale, site offactory, construction conditions, operating facilities, support facilities,general arrangement, transportation, investment estimation, analysis ofeconomic result, et al. When comparing and selecting the processschemes, the report is based on the modernized hot rolling productionprocess. After comprehensively comparing the single stand mill withsingle coiler, single stand mill with double coiters, one hot roughing mill+one hot finishing mill and one hot roughing mill+multi-stand tandemhot finishing mill, we have decided on 2400mm single stand four highhot rolling mill with double coilers, selected the appropriate cold rollingmills, finishing lines, heating treatment furnaces and accessoryequipments, and left some margin for the hot rolling mill to be developedin to a tandem hot rolling line.Through many-sided study and proof the report believes: (1)alongside the rapid development of national economy, the market ofaluminum plate, strip and foil has a good development prospect; (2) theproject is aimed at promoting the technological progress of China'saluminum processing industry, improving products mix, enhancing thecompetitive power of homemade high precision aluminum plate and strip,which is in line with the national industrial policy; (3) the technical levelof the hot rolling mill adopted for this project will greatly improve thequality of homemade hot rolled strip stock; (4) the cost and price of theproducts will have better competitive superiority; (5) the project hasstronger risk-resisting ability. In short, the project will play a positive role for China's aluminum plate, strip and foil processing industry to improvethe level of technology and equipment, regulate the products mix andadvance the healthful development of the industry. Especially, in the faceof challenge and opportunity brought about by entering WTO, to buildthis project has important significance. Therefore, it is feasible to buildthis project.
