In recent years, more and more researches have focused on wool's keratin bler ded withregenerated cellulose. On one hand, waste wool and other animal hair are solute to spin fiber,which can save resources and enhance the value of waste hair. On the other hand, the few fiberconfirm with the modern people's requirement. So it has great research value.The paper studied the reaction mechanisms of wool's keratin grafted with cellulose.Summarize the efficient methods and ways to spin this fiber by experiments and analysis.Firstly, study the preparation of wool's keratin solution. Wool consists of tort cal cell,intercellular substance and scale cell which covered on the hair shaft. Wool molecular is composedof aminiacid bonded by peptide bond. There are hydrogen bonds, salt bonds, disulfide bonds and vander Waals forces and so on. Alkaline was used to dissolve the wool fiber. Cleaned wool was oxidizedby per acetic acid and prepared by alkaline with 5% under 70℃.Secondly, the mechanisms of wool's grafted with cellulose have been studied. Wool keratinmoleculars can graft with cellulose when they are blended together with initiator. After severalexperiments, the best reaction condition was: ration of viscose and keratin solution weight 4:1; initiatedtime was 5 hours; the concentration of imitator was no more than 0.018mol/L,and the temperature wasnot over 55℃.Thirdly, rheologic properties of keratin blended with viscose cellulose system have been studied.Wet spinning flows fire viscoelastic and shear thinning non-Newton flows. Shear velocity, the amountof keratin and temperature affected the rheologic properties. With the shear velocity, the an ount ofkeratin and temperature increasing, the surface viscosity declined, the structurized degree worsened,and the spinnablity declined.At last, the technologies of wet spinning have been discussed. The better spinning technologywas chosen, and the properties of fiber which was spinned after keratin grafted with cellulose havebeen researched and discussed. The crystallinity and preferred orientation and strength of fiberspinned after keratin grafted with cellulose was lower than viscose, but the breaking elongationand moisture regain was higher than it.
