Along with is easy to choose the ore to reduce day by day,the large-scale processing the ore of low personal status,inlaying thin granularity and the complex ingredient will be the arduous duty which mineral processing will face.Inorder to make fully monomer dissociation of this kind of ore,recycle the micro fine grain valuable mineral,it is extremely essential to carry on the ore fine grinding.The ore fine grinding is an low efficiency,high energy consumption process,the grinding media takes for the carrier of broken energy and the main body of broken process,its size and shape to the grinding productivity, grinding product degree of fineness as well as the media consumption,the electricity consumption in the grinding process have major effect.At the same time,the grinding density which took for the wet environment of fine grinding also has the very tremendous influence to the grinding effect. Therefore,how to precisely determine the media size of fine grinding,choose the fine grinding media shape of suited the ore nature and optimize grinding density has become important content which research fine grinding work.Since long ago the mineral processing workers and crush the workers study the method which how to precisely determines the grinding media size, and according to own work experience infer many empirical formulas.But because the parameter of influence media size are more,any method all has the certain flaw.Moreover because ore nature is ever changing,the conclusion from one kind of ore research is not necessarily suits to other one kind of ore.Therefore,the method which theoretically calculate the grinding media size until now have not solved well.Selecting which the best science method to determine the media size has become thc crusheing material worker concern.Because the steel ball as the fine grinding media have shortcoming of big crushing strength,the poor selective solution and the small grinding area,people attempt to seek new fine grinding media which suit the request of fine grinding,for example the fine grinding media of the cone,the cylinder,the short cylinder,the section cone,six square body,six prism and so on satisfies request of the ore fine grinding.Which one kind of media shape is actually more appropriate,needs to confirm through the experiment.The pulp density is a important factor which affects grinding effect,oversize or small grinding density,not only fine grinding productivity is low,but also the grinding product characterization is not good,only under the best density,fine grinding can obtain a better effect. People often adopt in the production practice to increases feeding of the grinding machine,either to reduce supplies water volume,either adjust graduation function,which controls in classification and returning sand the size composition and the water,guarantees the grinding density to approach or to achieve the best density.Or suitably join helpful grinding compound to control dispersivity of ore grain and the pulp fluidity,thus which guarantees suitable pulp density.Therefore,we must first know the pulp the best density before adjust the pulp density.According to existing the question in fine grinding,the paper obtains from the research ore mechanical properties,uses Duan's half-theory formula which Professor DuanXixiang infers calculate ball diameter,and by the experimental method determines the Yun Xi company needs ball diameter isΦ30 mm andΦ40 mm.through media shape contrastive grinding experiment and the pulp density experiment in laboratory obtains:double plane of short cylindrical media is suited fine grinding,the best grinding density is 65%~67%.Finally through the industrial experiment confirmation,and obtained the remarkable effect,grinding fineness enhanced 8~9 percentage points,the returns-ratio and the ore concentrate personal status enhanced 3 percentage,consumption of steel ball separately dropped 31.94%,28.87%.
