In the iron and steel enterprises, some important production equipments have their own independent power supply system, such as blast furnace, coke ovens and converter. This system is one of the important parts to ensure the sustained and stable operation of the production equipments, which supply the power for the production process directly. It also takes charge of distributing power utilization of interrelated equipments. Integrated Automation is a multi computer automation system which integrates the distribution, control, measurement, signal, and remote of the relay station and it has become a development aspect of improving the level of power supply station automation direction in the recent years. So the research of transforming integrated automation system has important significance to the production of iron and steel industry.The distribution system in iron and steel enterprises has the characteristics of highly centralized electricity load, high density, high voltage and power and with high security requirements. In this paper, take transforming integrated automation system of large blast furnace in iron and steel enterprises as an example, designed and developed transforming integrated automation system of large blast furnace according to the actual needs of enterprise, based on the development of power distribution stations in China and abroad.First, According to the requirements of power distribution system of blast furnace for the hardware management and information transmission mechanism, the hardware of the system is established by distributed centralization monitoring with bus architecture. Then, according to the characteristics of system which has many kinds of and large amount of information, the integrated communication management computer and multi-mode optical fiber are chosen to form the network structure of the system, thus forming the basic framework of power supply integrated automation system. Finally, the overall structure of the software and various parts of the detailed features are determined by analyzing system's features, and the software modules is divided into categories and service platform HMI category on this basis in accordance with staff functions, and the specific background monitoring software is developed. Thus, the system's fast-respondability is realized in this paper by combining the memory real-time database system and disk database system, and transmission of real data and information is guaranteed.The system has been applied in a large blast furnace of steel company. The results show that the system has the advantage of secure, stable, reliable and easy to expand and has anti-jamming ability, which can reasonably distribute power load, thus achieve stable power supply and ensure the stable operation of blast furnace. Moreover, it can truly rescue workers with heavy daily work and reduce the labor intensity of the workers, and provide an effective way for managing power supply stations safely and economically.
