DRAs(drag reducing agents) are a kind of chemical product made of high polymer.To be specific,DRAS are the chemical additives to reduce liquid flow friction and to increase flow rate.The application of DRAS is an important method to improve transport capacity of pipelines and reduce energy consumption,and of cital importance in enhancing economil benefits and social benefits.They are divided to be water base DRAs,oil base DRAs and gas base DRAs according to different using objects.Drag reduction agent in oil fluids is a sort of chemical additive widely used in pipeline transportation of crude oil and product oil,and can greatly improve the efficiency of oil transfer and bring about enormous economic benefits by the addition of small amounts of certain polymers.The addition of drag reduction agent improves transport capacity greatly, reduces transport cost,makes flexible transport of oil possible and reduces bearing pressure of old pipeline in constant flow quantity.This article aims at a species DRA dissolving in oil of a -olefin polymerization. It's one of the most application as well as best efficiency and has the characteristic of high molecular weight(beyond 1000,000),good oil dissolving as well as high drag reduction ability.At present drag reduction agent mainly is copolymers of alpha monoolefins.The purpose of this paper is to introduce bulk polymerization adopted by polymerizing alpha olefins.The relationship between efficiency of drag reduction and factors was given by quadrature experiment of alpha olefin polymerization whose catalyst system wasβ-TiCl3-Al(Et)2Cl.The cocatalyst are dieathyl aluminium chloride(DIEAC),diisobutyl aluminium chloride(DIIBAC),trimethl ahminium(TMA) Three new cocatalysts was confected in virtue of different cocatalyst activity,and experiments indicated polymer' s efficiency of drag reduction whose cocatalyst is composed of high activity and low activity cocatalyst was more great than whose cocatalyst is one simple matter.Drag reducing agent through molecular associations have high shear stability in turbulent flow was studied and found its shear stability in turbulent flow has been improved greatly.The process of emulsion polymerization is simple and the demand of its producing codition is low.A synthesis method was developed to synthesize poly(α-olefin) fromα-olefin monomer by utilizing Ziegler-Natta catalyst in this paper,we polymerizeα-olefin polymerization by bulk polymerization.Furthermore,orthogonal experiments were introduced to evaluate the effect off our factors,Such as chain length inα-olefin, cocatalyst,mol ratio of catalyst to cocatalyst,concentration of catalyst,and the best synthesis conditions of thedrag reducing polymer were optimized.C8,C10 mixedα-olefin is better than C8,C10α-olefin for the drag reducing effect,and cocatalyst A3 is better than A1,A2 for the experimental results.The conclusion is based on polymer' s efficiency of drag reduction,It can be seen clearly from the result of medium enlarged that 30 multiplier samples' efficiency of drag reduction is 48.65%,much higher than Currently DRAs.Fourier transform infrared spectrometry was employed to analyze three brands of drag-reduction agents.Consequently,the fundamental structures of the polymer contained were determined.The microstructure of alpha oIefins polymers newly polymerized was characterized by 1H-NMR.The molecular weight was determined by GPC and discussed the relationship between polymers' efficiency of drag reduction and molecular weight as well as molecular weight distribution.
