Coal mine safety production in industrial production has been a critical issue, is an urgent need to address the major science and technology. Countries around the world have invested heavily in human and material resources to research and development equipment associated with it. Using the embedded technology, optoelectronics technology and the principle of infrared absorption gas detection, a practical value of the embedded dual-beam infrared gas detection system has been designed. The system has been designed of two serial communication interface, so that PC can be real-time monitoring of gas concentration and processing data to forecast. So it enhances the security of production and realizes the intelligent gas monitoring. The main contents and researches are as follows.The world of gas detection technology and the status quo have been shown and analyzed. For different types of gas detection equipment, the advantages and disadvantages are analyzed and compared. Based on the principle of infrared absorption gas, embedded technology and differential photoelectric detection technology, a double-beam intelligent gas detection design idea was raised.The absorption spectra of methane has been researched and analyzed. The Lambert - Beer's law is derived the expression about the single-wavelength double-beam differential detection. And a dual-beam absorption-type gas detection system has been designed.The hardware of embedded dual-beam differential infrared gas detection system has been designed. By analyzing the characteristics of lights and detectors, the light and detectors of the program have been determined, and completed the design of the detection system, MCU control system, power supply circuits, signal conditioning circuits, communications circuits, Display System and the alarm system circuits.The drivers about the detection system, communication system, alarm system and other related system have been researched and developed.The gas detection system was studied through the experiment, and it can be seen that the design of the system has reached an accuracy of gas detection design requirements. Innovation: A single-wavelength double-beam detection method reduced detection error caused by zero drift or instability of light devices; the whole design was the use of low-power embedded systems, so that gas concentrations calculated more precise, at the same time the gas concentration display, alarm, and other control functions was completed.
