Grinding has become the most effective and common technology in field ofmechanical manufacturing for precision and ultra-precision machining, improvingthe accuracy and efficiency of the grinding process has an important significance topromote the development of high-quality products and industrial modernization.Traditional offline detection methods have been severely hampered development ofgrinding toward high-efficiency, high-quality direction, using of active measuringinstrument significantly improves the efficiency and accuracy of grinding, Reducesscrap rate and ensures the consistency of the product. However, the currentmainstream active measuring instruments have a series of drawbacks, such as poorreal-time, low accuracy, poor intuitive display, inconvenient to human-computerinteraction for widespread lack of core technology and are badly in need ofupgrading. On depth study of embedded technology and principle of activemeasuring instrument, this paper Independently develops a grinding activemeasuring instrument based on embedded system-Z600active measuringinstrument.This paper uses high-performance ARM11family processor S3C6410as thecore to design the hardware platform of Z600active measuring instrument.According meter needs a reasonable choice required hardware, reducing the metercosts and avoid the waste of resources. According to Z600active measuringinstrument needs,this design reasonably chooses required hardware, reduces itscosts and avoid the waste of resources. Combined with the thought of modulardesign, the hardware system is divided into core board, expansion circuit board, keyboard, amplifier board, I/O board1, I/O board2, LCD modules, and this shortensthe development cycle, facilitates post-upgrade maintenance later.For design of Z600active measuring instrument software system, this paperchooses WinCE6.0as the operating system, which has strong real-time character,powerful communication and graphic display functions. According to hardwareselection, this design cuts corresponding components, develops appropriate flow interface drivers, customizes system kernel, reduces system overhead and improvesthe operating efficiency of the program. All tasks of Z600active measuringinstrument are divided reasonably, overall design of software control system iscompleted.This article designs application of Z600active measuring instrument based onmulti-threading technology. By using multithreading technology, reasonableplanning threads, elaborating thread priorities, synchronizing between threads, thisdesign not only effectively solve the problem that operating interface can’t responsewhen uninterrupted data acquisition, processing is carried on, but also and improvesthe speed of program running.This paper realizes redraw of measurement result graph based on doublebuffering graphics technology. Measurements and processing status are moreintuitive, friendly under Z600active measuring instrument by displayed ininstrument graphic. Double buffering and partial redraw method not only effectivelysolves the flicker phenomenon while graphics redrawn, and reduces drawing time toone-fifth of the original, greatly improving the efficiency of the program.This article carries on a series of tests for prototype of Z600active measuringinstrument under laboratory conditions, the results show that Z600active measuringinstrument Has the following features:high resolution, small showing error, stability,high accuracy. It uses color LCD screen for display, human-computer interface ismore friendly for measurements and processing status are presented in instrumentgraphic. The whole operation using a combination of touch screen and keys,adjustment and setting of parameters is very convenient, interfaces switchingbetween each other is smoothly, the entire grinding process is stable.Z600active measuring instrument inherits the advantages of embedded system,such as high execution speed, strong real-time, high reliability and so on, achievesreal-time, dynamic, high-precision detection and efficient for data collection,transmission, processing, information feedback and corresponding control actioncompleting. It satisfies the urgent needs of our country enterprise for cost-effectiveactive measuring instruments, improves the grinding quality and efficiency, reduces the overall cost of grinding, and has an important significance to promote precisionmachining and development of automation industry in our country.
