At the present time,the research and applications of Broussonetia papyrifera fiber is still at the primary stage of development.The research of Broussonetia papyrifera and Broussonetia papyrifera fiber were studied,fiber In this paper,on the basis of chemical component analysis,the compare was made between Broussonetia papyrifera fiber and other fiber like hemp fiber.The chemical degumming process of Broussonetia papyrifera was analyzed.The techniques and parameters of degumming were made out.At last,the basic physical properties of degummed Broussonetia papyrifera fiber and the structure of single fiber were studied.The main content of this paper is as follows:The quantities of the chemical component in Broussonetia papyrifera are different from hemp,ramie and flax and so on.The percent of pectin is 6.70%.According to the properties of the Broussonetia papyrifera,the enzyme pretreatment and alkali-H2O2 one bath degumming process is taken.The process route is as follow: Broussonetia papyriferaâ†'enzyme treatmentâ†'washingâ†'Alkali-H2O2 one bath treatmentâ†'washingâ†'shakingâ†'dewateringâ†'adding oilâ†'dewateringâ†'drying.The orthogonal experimental design was used to optimize three important factors:the concentrations of NaOH and H2O2 and the processing time of alkali-H2O2 one bath degumming.In the end,the optimum parameters of the three factors were obtained as follows:NaOH:5g/L,H2O2:4 g/L,treatment time:150min.The Broussonetia papyrifera fiber's photos of the SEM were studied.The result was that the cross section of Broussonetia papyrifera fiber is polygonal,no lumen and the lengthwise is smooth and vertical stripes,so it is comfortable.The length of the degummed Broussonetia papyrifera fiber is so short that they are only 5-15mm and the moisture regain is 11.78%.The Broussonetia papyrifera fiber has a similar moisture regain to hemp fiber.The optimum parameters were obtained based on the orthogonal test. The results were obtained as follows:dyes:2%,Na2SO4:80g/L,Na3PO4:5g/L,the bath ratio:1:25.The temperature of dyeing was 85℃,the fixation was 30℃and the time was 30min.The further development and application of Broussonetia papyrifera fiber will be made through the study of this paper.
