Japan And South Korea Trade Ecological Footprint

Today under the premise of the advances in science and technology and the continuous improvement in human life,sustainable development has attracted more and more people's attention.How to create a healthy,civilized and the sustainable development of society has become a common ideal of all countries' people.And as a result of the current global population growth,the continued deterioration of the environment,the rapid depletion of resources and the reduced carrying capacity of the ecological environment,how to achieve sustainable development is a common challenges and urgent task that all mankind facing.Sustainable development impacts the present and the future of humanity,the survival and development of all countries and the stability and prosperity in the world,when the countries pursuit the economic growth, they should make efforts to maintain and improve the quality of the environment and give full consideration to the needs of future generations.Since the mid-1980s,global is already in an ecological deficit state.At present,the human ecological footprint is equivalent to taking up 1.25 Earth and this is such a pattern that by consuming the resources and the environment of the future generations to support the contemporary needs.Through international trade in certain countries,they transfer their own ecological footprint but the transfer is not the fundamental way to solve the problem.Because there is only one Earth,we have no choice except for lowering consumption,improving efficiency and implementing the sustainable development.This article has selected the ecological footprint model which was proposed and subsequently improved by the Canadian ecologists such as William Rees and Wackernagel in 1992,it has measured the sustainable development of China-Japan-South Korea trade from the new perspective of ecological footprint.According to calculation results,we have found that China,Japan and South Korea have shown varying degrees of ecological trade deficit from 2002-2007.According to the law of sustainable development,this result is premised on the realization of China's consumption of resources and the environment in advance,so we have analyzed and assessed the calculation results and have proposed the corresponding policy recommendations.
