Screw press is one of the molding equipment widely used in manufacture and applied in many kinds of press process in molding of metal and nonmetal materials. Machine types currently in use are friction, hydraulic, clutch and electric screw presses. The most common type in use is the friction press, problem are high energy consumption, manual operations, force and energy can be inaccurate, parts accuracy differenceScrew presses which driven by switch reluctance servo system was studied in this paper, the structure designe method of switch reluctance servo screw press was put forward. The structure of the equipment was designed with 3D software and the rigid transmission parts design and analysis was carried out. Also the calculation model of slide was proposed; with ADAMS and Matlab/Simulink the motion simulation of the prototype was studied, by the simulation result the strategy of precise control the SRM was decided, According to the strategy of control the SRM, energy system design scheme and moment of inertia calculation method was proposed. The switch reluctance servo screw press dynamic system CAD design system and switch reluctance NC servo screw press dynamic control system simulation system was compile. With the equipment developmented, contrast verification with friction screw press was carried out in practical production conditions.The results of this paper are indicated as follows:The method of structure designe of the equipment proposed in this paper solved and the fracture of motor shaft. The energy system design scheme proposed ensures the accurate blow energy and blow force. Through the simulation the strategy of precise control the SRM was decided, Flexible accurate numerical control the motion and blow energy was realized. By the energy consumption contrast test, the result indicates that the new equipment can save energy by 70%. Solved the technical problems existed in traditional equipment, the result is important to the development for the forming equipments.
