Schiff base ligand (H2L= N,N'-bis(2-oxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)-1,2-phenylenediamine) and 24 kinds of metallic Schiff base complexes have been synthesized in this paper. All the complexes have been characterized by Elemental analyses, Infrared(IR), Ultraviolet-Visible(UV), Thermal gravimetric and XRD.9 kinds of single crystal of complexes have been developed by diffusion and have been structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray crysrallographic analysis.We have studied their properties of Near infrared (NIR) luminescence and magnetism. The main dissertation are as follows:1. The lanthanide nitrate complexes 1-3 have been synthesized and their structures can be described as [Ln5L4(OH)2(NO3)5MeOH]·3MeOH·2H2O [Ln=Nd(1), Yb(2)] and [Ce (Ⅳ)(H2L)2] (3). The complexes 1 & 2 are sandwich structures. The complex 3 is package structure. The structures of lanthanide chloride complexes can be described as [Ln4(H2L)2(OAc)4(OH)4]·MeOH·ZnCl4 [Ln=Nd (4) & Yb (5)] [Lu3L3(OH)3Cl(H2O)4] Cl2·2H2O (6). The complexes 4 & 5 are novel quadrnuclear dimeric structures. The complex 3 is sandwich structure. The structures of lanthanide acetic complexes can be described as [Nd2(H2L)(OAc)4(MeOH)2]·2MeOH [Ln=Nd(7), Yb(8)] [Ce(Ⅳ)(H2L)2] (9).The composition of 3d-4f complexes can be described as [(LCu)Ln(NO3)3] [Ln= La(10), Ce(11), Sm(12), Gd(13)&Lu(14)]. [(LCu)LnCl3(DMF)2]·H2O [Ln= La(15), Ce(16), Gd(17) & Lu(18)]. [(LCu)2Ln(OAc)3]·H2O [Ln= La(19), Ce(20), Gd(21)& Lu(22)] and [(LZn)Ln(OAc)3] [Ln= Nd(23) & Yb(24)]. X-ray crystallographic analysis indicates that the 3d-4f heterobinuclear complexes exhibit O-dimensional structures.2. The Near infrared (NIR) luminescence analysis show that the luminescence of complexes 1,2,4,5,7,8,23 and 24 are ligand-centered emission.3.
