Nano structured ZnO is the new generation of wide band-gap and direct band-gap with multi-purpose II-VI race semiconducting materials. Nano ZnO has caused itself in magnetism,the light,the electricity,sensitivety and so on to present the characteristic which the conventional material does not have due to its unique small-size effect,surface effect,quantum-size effect and macroscopic quantum tunnel effect. Therefore nanometer particle has attracted broad application in prospect such as in the magnetic material, the electronic material, the optical material, agglutination of refined character density aspects, catalysis, sensing, ceramic plasticizing and so on. Nano material synthesized and assembled simply, effectively and cheaply all have important significance whether in basic study or in capability and application.In the paper, hydrothermal synthesis is used to synthesize ZnO with kinds of nano structure. Effects of kinds of growth conditions on nano material morphology, size, structure and capability are studied. Furthermore their forming mechanism and capability of photocatalysis were also researched. Main results of the paper are as follows.(1) Kinds of morphology of nano ZnO such as six square-cluster-like, the film plot-cluster-like, Needle-cluster-like,sphericity-like and other morphology of the ZnO are synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and taken zinc acetate and sodium hydroxide as raw materials through changing factors of the reaction system alkalinity, reaction temperature,reaction time, adulteration element and quantity of adulteration and so on,the doping modified research was also conducted.(2) This paper has studied the photocatalysis of the nano ZnO with Rhodamin B, inspected different morphology of ZnO photocatalytic properties.The experiments show that ZnO with manganese-doped needle-cluster-like has a high photocatalytic degradation rate,which can achieve 95% and also can reach photocatalytic degradation of balance after four hours.The recovery of ZnO for photocatalytic degradation still has good capability of photocatalysis.It also indicated that ZnO which synthesized by experiments was applicable to deal with the treatment of dye wastewater.(3) The paper has studied the photocatalysis reaction kinetics of Rhodamin B with nano ZnO, the research showed that the reaction of needle-cluster-like ZnO Photocatalytic Degradation of Rhodamine B was conformed to the rule of Langmuir-Hinshellwood zero grade dynamics,and the response apparent activation energy of the reaction is 212.67KJ/mol.Needle-cluster-like nano ZnO which synthesized by hydrothermal method has good capability of photocatalysis, which can provide a new method of the solution to the serious environmental pollution questions day by day such as water,air and soil hopefully.
