Because of decrease frictional coefficient of roll surface and change of three-orientation stress in contact art of deformation area, the application of lubricant technology in rolling can decrease in rolling pressure, energy consume of rolling and wear of roll, increase in surface quality of strip and job efficiency of mill.In this paper, the lubricant technology accord with finishing Hot-strip-mill 1442 in Meishan-Steel was established by industrial experiment. At the same time, the effect to rolling pressures, energy consumption of rolling, wears of roll and surface qualities of strip were investigated.For different mill, the effect of lubricant technology has obvious differences, and effect to F1~F3 finishing mill is bigger than that of F4~F6 finishing mill. Decrease of roll wear and hole defect of ferric oxide, and improvement of surface qualities of strip were worked by isolation use of lubricant oil film between roll and strip.After use of lubricant technology, the conclusion is as follows:At first, decrease of rolling pressure is 5%-19%; average decrease of overall power of motor is 3.8%; electric saving of per ton steel is 4.0 KWH; decrease of roll wear is 35%. Second, increase of rolling yield is 66% in same roll wear. Third, in improvement of surface qualities of strip, decrease of coarseness is 21%~33%; percentage of hole defect of ferric oxide decrease from 0.10% to 0.03%; the decrease range is 0.07%. Base on upwards conclusion, the lubricant technology have evident economic and social benefit.
