Application Of Bf-t Flotation Machine In Reverse Flotation Of Hematite Ore

Donganshan Sintering Plant of Anshan Mining Co., Ansteel Group was set up and began to produce in 1958, beneficiation process of two-stage continuous grinding, sole alkali direct flotation has been adopted during handling iron ore of Donganshan, furthermore low technical and economic index, concentrate grading hovered about 60%. In order to meet market's needs, Anshan Mining Company carry out technical innovation to the First Separation Workshop of Donganshan Sintering Plant applying advanced technology of two-stage continuous grinding, middlings regrinding, gravity separation-high intensity magnetic separation-anionic reverse flotation on the basis of perennial production and practice of iron increase and silicon reduction. Transformed concentrate grade is up to above 64.5%, Donganshan Sinter Plant realizes the breakthrough of beneficiation.After new technology was put into production, we have summed up problems in the technological process during one year commissioning and examination of production technology, the index of flotation isn't stable and often rises and falls, which is an important technical problem.In the initial stage of reverse flotation experiment, there are 4 flotation systems which adopt combines of BF-1 and JJF flotation cells in separation workshop. The BF-1 flotation cells are used as the drawing cells and the JJF flotation cells are used as flowing cells. In the experiment, we find that because of the site of the impeller is high and the diameter of the impeller is small, the high density particle are easily precipitate, which causes high concentration in the middle and below of the cell. The phenomenon of JJF flotation cells leaking air is serious which causes the high of pulp isn't stable and the index of flotation rises and falls. In order to solve the problem, in 2003, the Mining Company decides to transform flotation machine. The transform is using BF series flotation machines replace all the BF-1 and the JJF flotation machines. BF-T flotation machine is a kind of efficient separating equipment, which is especially for the reverse flotation of mineral ore. It adopts the advantage technology of self-drawing flotation machine and absorbs the merits of this kind flotation machines all world and has special designs for miniral ore reverse flotation. The fotation machines'transfom is divided into 4 steps. The first step is transforming the third flotation system's flotation machines which locates in the south part of seperation workshop, After getting satisfied technology index,we start the second step which is using the BF-1 flotation from the third flotation system replace the JJF flotation machines of the forth flotaion system. The third step is transforming the second flotation system's flotation machines which locates in the nouth part of seperation workshop.The forth step is using the BF-1 flotation from the second flotation system replace the JJF flotation machines of the first flotaion system. After adopting BF-T flotation machines, the separating equipments run stably, the high of pulp is easily adjusted, the index of flotation is proved. According to the statistics, the grade of the flotation concentrate has raised 0.5%, the grade of the flotation has falls 0.5%. From the statistics, the capacity of the mill is 55t/h, the percent of producing time is 92%, and the producing percent of the magnetic concentrate is 35%. From Jan to Apr of 2004, the grade of flotation concentrate is 65.38%, the grade of flotation tailing is 20.16%. From May to Nov of 2004, the grade the of flotation concentrate is 65.88%, the grade of flotation tailing is 19.66%, so every year the separation workshop can get 1321 tons concentrate than before. The price of the concentrate is 570yuan/t, which grade is 65%, and if the grade of concentrate rises 1%, the price rises 10 yuan/ton, So, the separation workshop can get extra benefit of 4.33 million every year. After adopting BF-T flotation machine, we solve the problem of flotation index isn't stable and make the enterprise great economical and social benefits.
