There are many remarkable materials fashioned by nature, one of which is formed by the polycarboxylate and transition-metal ions. This unique structure results in excellent properties. Besides, it is found that polycarboxylate components can dramatically influence the microstructures of transition-metal. Based on the above founding, people have tried to synthesize a class of novel functional materials with unique structures and properties—polycarboxylate transition-metal coordination polymers. Taking into consideration the international studies, we have focused our study on the influence of the changes caused by the coordination position or conformation of succinic acid on the structure of polycarboxylate transition-metal coordination polymers.The use of the hydrothermal reactions and five coordination polymers were synthesized . Coordination polymers of [Zn(C4H4O4)]n: crystallizes in monoclinic system with space group C2/c, cell parameters: a = 6.9140(8)nm; b =6.7856(8)nm; c = 11.4535(13)nm;α=90.00;β=99.8670(10);γ=90.00; V =529.40(11)nm3; Z =4; F(000)= 360; R1 = 0.0181, wR2 = 0.0473. Coordination polymers of [Cu(C4H4O4)(NH3)2]n: crystallizes in monoclinic system with space group C2/m, cell parameters: a =13.761(6)nm; b =7.374(3)nm; c = 8.709 (4)nm;α=90.00;β=124.515(4);γ=90.00; V = 728.2(5)nm3; Z=4; Dc =1.949g/cm3;μ=2.97mm-1; F(000)=436; R1 = 0.036, wR2 = 0.072. Coordination polymers of [Co(C5H5N)2(H2O)2(C4H4O4)]n :crystallizes in orthorhombic system with space group Pbca, cell parameters: a =11.91940(12)nm; b =8.91440(10)nm; c =15.1025(2)nm;α=90.00 ;β=90.00;γ=90.00; V =1604.71(3)nm3; Z =4; Dc =1.528g/cm3;μ=1.101mm-1; F(000)=764; R1 = 0.0492, wR2 = 0.0831. Coordination polymers of [Cu(HPO3)(H2O)2]n crystallizes in monoclinic system with space group P2(1)/c,cell parameters: a=7.12940(10)nm;b=7.33460(10)nm;c=8.8313(2)nm;α=90.00;β=110.4280(10);γ=90.00;V=432.758 (13)nm3;Z=4;Dc=2.756g/cm3;μ=5.32 mm-1 ;F(000)=356;R1 = 0.0180, wR2 =0.0470。Coordination polymers of [Zn(H2O)(C5H5N2O2S)2]n crystallizes in monoclinic system with space group C2/c,cell parameters: a= 12.481(4)nm;b=9.522(3)nm;c=12.686(5)nm;α=90.00;β=95.800(5); γ=90.00;V=1499.9(9)nm3;Z=4;Dc=1.761g/cm3;μ=1.943mm-1;F(000)=808;R1=0.0618, wR2 =0.1443。...
