Following with the social economy developing fast and the advancement of science and technology, more and more multistory factory building structure has been appeared. Machinery equipments"go upstairs"is becoming an inevitable trend. Machinery vibration has imposed continuous excitation on factory structure by the mode of wave in the operating process, which has great possibility to initiate the structure's forced oscillation and damage the health of workers. How to control the influence of vibration in range of structural safety and in range of not affecting the sensitive equipment and the health of workers are becoming important problems to be solved.In this paper, the control effect of MR-TMD control device on the structure's forced oscillation with the background of some 11 story coal gas manufacturing plant in Yima city is studied in order to solve the vibration problems. The main concepts and results show as follows:1. The steel tubes'parameters are calculated by using the method of active vibration isolation, which is replacing the form of gasifier in directly contact with the structure with steel tube supporting.2. A two degree model is simplified from the factory structure and the gasifier. Then the damping performances of passive TMD control,active AMD control and semi-active MR-TMD control has been studied systematically. And the control effects of several semi-active control algorithms are compared. Study shows that MR-TMD has overcome TMD's disadvantage of narrow frequency band of damping; its control effect on structure's acceleration response is better than that of AMD; the effect of MR-TMD can be affected by different semi-active control algorithms.3. The two-dimensional 11 degree vertical series model is established. The feasibility and effectiveness of semi-active MR-TMD control system to control the factory's vibration are analyzed on simulation. And then the MR-TMD's control effect is compared with that of TMD and AMD, which are controlling on the same model structure. Simulation results indicate that semi-active MR-TMD control is better than passive TMD control and active AMD control. 4. MR-TMD also has great control effect when factory structure is suffering earthquake.
