At present, China's practice of interior design comes apart the interior design theory, although the excellent design methods emerge in endlessly, they only rest on the experience, they are lack of system study in theory. Meanwhile, the overseas interior design concept is numerous and polytrophic, and the style and school branches are complicated, it is difficult to use a certain kind of theory to sum up the complete picture, analyze and be used by us.In view of such situation, this thesis will break away from the past shackles of analysis and summarization of the style and school, to take the linguistic philosophy as cognition tool and the interior design as one manmade language, draw the nutrition of the various modern architectural design theories, combine the status quo of Chinese interior design to conduct summary and analysis for design grammar structure and vocabulary rule from the matter, mentality and culture, so as to explore and establish a set of interior design theory on the basis of logic language as main thread.First, it proved to the feasibility and necessity of interior design as an artificial language to study, and drawn from the language point of view on the merits of Interior Design based on which understanding of contemporary interior design and development of modern architectural theory of the impact of interior design and use of language philosophy of theoretical results, association with interior design features. The virtue of the language point of view is:1. Interior design language of the theory which has inherent advantages to explain the meaning of the indoor environment; 2. Interior design language theory can be integrated the design factors of the level of material and spiritual aspects, and it ensure the tightness of the logic design and comprehensiveness in the design of methods and procedures; 3. Interior design language of the theory is people-centered. In this theory to practical environment, but also pay attention to delivery of emotion and culture in the environment, that can not cause the unbalance between physical practicality and psychological satisfaction in understanding.4.The design language is an open and active interior design theory.Additionally, Interior design of the grammatical structure has been discussed. The way of material, psychological and cultural structure to be integrated into the design of the framework.Take matter, mentality and culture with the form of structure to integrate into the frame of design grammar, explore and describe the outline of interior design grammar structure from physical structure, mental structure and cultural structure of residential interiors. Room structure is a form of a prototype layout which is provided by Japanese architect, environment, including two basic psychological structure which is psychological structure and stimulate a sense of insecurity. Cultural structure is designed for home users as well as respect for the life of emotional response.Finally, in accordance with the grammatical structure of the papers, which detail the design vocabulary of form and use of words.And the paper have summed up the three sources, namely, from the material conditions of the practice of design; from progress of modern science and technology; from modern multi-cultural, and analyzed the sources of generation-related conditions. In based on those, bring up to the design vocabulary. Besides, some regular of the creation form was been studied inevitably while generalize about the principles and methods of term creation and use.
