Study Of Small And Medium-sized Cities Of Yunnan Province, Road Traffic Safety Management

In medium-small cities of Yunnan province, with the accelerated process of urbanization, the number of motor vehicles have rapid growth, leading to frequent traffic accidents, and people's lives and property could not be ensured. The further deterioration of road safety situation results in a series of contradictions and urban traffic problems which has seriously hindered the sustainable economic development of medium-small cities in Yunnan province. Therefore, the main contents of this paper is how to reduce the high incidence of traffic accidents, cut down accident losses and ensure the normal operation of road traffic system of medium-small cities of Yunnan province through effective traffic safety management.Firstly, the two key issues in the decision-making process of road traffic safety management-road traffic safety forecasting and traffic safety evaluation are discussed and summarized in detail.Secondly, this paper describes the traffic function of urban road, and summarizes the traffic characteristics of medium-small cities in Yunnan province.in many aspects by analyzing their basic datas.Thirdly, regarding the road traffic system as a starting point, this paper analyzes the causes of traffic accidents, and puts forward to the corresponding measures of traffic control and prevention based on analying road traffic safety status of medium-small cities in Yunnan province. In addition, combined with road safety questionnaire survey results, a series of traffic safety measures are proposed from other perspective, such as increasing the traffic safety culture, improving the traffic laws and traffic safety facilities, and so on.Finally, combining with the actual situation of Hongta District of Yuxi City, this paper puts forward the more suitable road safety management countermeasures in multi-angle perspectives based on the forecasting and evaluation of road safety development in Hongta District.
