Operating characteristics for terminals, using discrete event simulation theory, The paper established container terminal simulation model of the logistics processes by event-oriented simulation method. Then the paper simulated road traffic system on the Tianjin Port Container Terminal on the Witness simulation software. Finally on the traffic flow theory, the simulation results were analyzed. The established simulation model is carried out in Tianjin Port Container Terminal evaluation, which makes Tianjin Port Container Terminal traffic system optimization strategy to improve the efficiency of container terminal operations and provides advice and recommendations for Tianjin Port Container Terminal planning and management.
