At present, China unable to design and manufacture the auto gearbox, and the Chinese automobile companys have to import many auto_gearboxes which cost than on thousand million Yuan. If Chiese Gear_box companys can advance a big step on aspect of auto_gearbox, that will have great meaning for Chinese automobile industry. Control strategy is the kernel technology of auto_gearbox, so that is the keystone of this paper. The paper do some work as follows to research control strategy of AMT:1. Reviewing the development stages of the AMT. Summarizing the structure, the characteristic and the type of it. Analyzing the merits and shortcomings of the AMT equipped with car, and the practicability of the AMT development on cars.2. Analyzing the basic control strategies of AMT briefly. The methods to demarcate the shift-MAP. The closing conditions and process, the control requirements, the control mode and methods of the clutch in the launch stage, including driveability, ride comfort, clutch protection. The control metrics of the clutch and the gearbox in the running and stopping stage. The influence factors of shift quality. Introducing some practical assistant control strategies of the AMT3. Analyzing the control strategies using simulation. A complete vehicle model of the CHERY QQ-0.8L was built in AMEsim software. A transmission control unit (TCU) model was established in MATLAB/SIMULINK software. Analyzing the characteristics of the starting and shifting combined with the two models. Analyzing the shifting MAP features through comparing the performance and the Extra Urban Driving Cycle (EUDC) with the manual model of the car.4. Analyzing the shift features of skilled drivers'manipulation based on tests. All tests were done on the 0.8L-QQ car. Several skilled drivers operated the car following their own habits to launch, shift gears, brake and hill start. The clutch position, velocity, engine speed and input speed of the gearbox were recorded. After analyzed the data, the shift behaviors and control metrics were found, as well as the shifting scheduling and the shifting MAP.5. Coligate the contents above, put forward the conclusion of this paper.
