Combined with the collaborative project of AMT control strategydeveloping for A13Car, which is consigned by Chery Auto, this paperaims at the control strategies of Automate mechanical transmission. Thepaper addresses four areas:1. Reviewing the development stages of the AMT. Summarizing thestructure, the characteristic and the type of it. Introducing severalAMT products available in the market. Analyzing the merits andshortcomings of the AMT equipped with vehicles, and the practicabilityof the AMT development on cars.2. Analyzing the basic control strategies of AMT briefly. This paperstructured the AMT control software with four parts: Function ModeManagement、Gear Control Strategy、GMove Process Control and ComponentsControl, and described every parts in detail, especially, this paperstudied the clutch control technology and clutch protect technology, and designed a clutch protect control scheme.3. Designing A13car model which included AMT control object modelsand the physical model, based on the test data and the subsysytem data.Designing AMT control software model with Matlab simulink, andintergrate both of the control model and the A13car model as a MIL system.Testing and validating logical and function of the AMT control softwaremodel in the MIL system, and simulate the accelerating performace andthe fuel consumption in EUDC drive cycle.4. Analyzing the convert process of control model to C-code,and theintegration method of control software and base software. Testing andvalidating AMT’s automatic drive function on the A13prototype car, everything was work normally. Improving set off perfomance、acceleratingperformace and the fuel consumption in EUDC drive cycle, by the way ofcalibrated many control parameters. Studing the fuel consumptiondifference between MT and AMT, based on the fuel consumption data ofA13car, which drived by different drivers with different drivingtechnic lever. In conclusion, the paper used different research methods to analyzethe control strategies of AMT and tested it on the A13car, all the basicfunction worked very good, both of power performance and economicpeformance had get the goal of design requirement.
