Reliability is an important indicator about the quality of products. So the design of reliability is an important link to ensure quality in design of mechanical products. Now many businesses are using CAD software to design product, but general CAD software can't produce corresponding parts model according to user's needs, users still need a software according to the specific method to build model step by step, because the software lacks reliability function, it is difficult to ensure the reliability of the product. In the mechanical used for driving motivation and sports, everywhere can found the trace of gear reducer.This paper derived new shafting parts and components of three-dimensional model directly, according to reducer parts size designed by CAD software. So the workload of the designers will be greatly reduced and the design efficiency will be improved. What's more, it facilitates the follow-up finite element analysis, virtual manufacturing and CAM, etc. Therefore, this dissertation carries out the research and development of the two-stage cylindrical gear reducer shafting parts parametric CAD system. Main tasks are as follows:1. The overall analysis and design of the system: to develop the two-stage cylindrical gear reducer shafting parts parametric CAD system, by using the software of vc++ 6.0, object-oriented technology and database technology. After users in the man-machine interface selected the initial conditions, this system can realize the transmission ratio of the distribution, use conventional design method to realize high and low grade gear transmission size design and the two-stage cylindrical gear reducer structure design of oart components, and realize data files output about design and calculation results.2. Reliability design: adding reliability design module into parametric CAD system , written checking and reliability design program in the situation of shafting parts satisfying target reliability, then using PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm situation to optimize design products. Finally achieve data files output about reliability design data file. 3. Used Soliderworkers API (Application Programming Interface) function build shafting parts three-dimensional model, and derived shaft parts of three-dimensional model according to user's needs. At last, achieve the virtual assembly of shafting parts.
