Currently the rapid development of railway passenger-oriented and overloading make new demands for track operation and maintenance, and it's profoundly meaningful to strengthen the detection of the orbital parameters and maintenance for the safe railway transport. According to the accuracy requirements of high-speed line detection and China's actual situation, the formation of technology systems on the systemic and scientific track monitoring and maintenance has become a very urgent and important issue, while assimilating the foreign advanced experience and technology on rail construction, maintenance of measurement and control, studying the track absolute coordinate control systems of the quasi-high-speed railway, precision measurement programs and the long-wavelength smooth-going technology based on the existing tamping machine and other large road maintenance machinery.We selected and established a three-dimensional precise positioning system of track, drawing on the "constant distance control method" by which NanChang Railway Bureau accurately measured the geometry parameters of the existing track line and "fine measurement network control method" of JiNan Railway Bureau. Simultaneously on that basis, using the design ideas of intelligent instrumentation and the features-the consistency of laser wavelength, very narrow width of spectral line and single color, and combining with laser sensor applications, we developed a convenient, lightweight and high precision transverse space measuring instrument of the static orbit with functions of data show, storage and others.In particular, the main research work here has the following aspects:1. In terms of intelligent instrument and apparatus, the design process of the measurer is described in detail, including machinery forming, measures principle, hardware circuit, software design, technical indicator and sensors selecting, etc.2. Methods to improve the precision of a measuring system, such as systematic error-correction, random error-correction, gross error-correction and sensor temperature compensation, etc, are discussed in many aspects. Especially, the real-time self-calibration can well correct the systematic error because of various kinds of drift, gain error, etc, which is considered as of great practical value.3. In data acquisition system, the anti-interference and dependability are very important in design because the reliability and the whole performance of the measuring are involved. So the anti-interference and dependability designs are discussed from two aspects--hardware and software. In addition, hardware self-test, voltage monitor and program parameter self-check, etc. are also applied to increase systematic dependability.The research achievement is making better and spreading further which is verified through field experiment.
