In recent years, the general optimization design method that grew from programming theory and computer technology has been applying to the mechanical design field successfully. Therefore, designers could find optimal project that more feasible than before. However, not only random instability and fuzzy instability of parameters and variables, but also the fuzzy limited state of parts are all not considered by the general optimization design, although they exist in mechanical project objectively. The Belt Conveyor is one of the most important transportation facilities that carries dispel goods, and driving device is its key part. In order to improve the whole design quality, shorten design period, increase efficiency, reduce cost, realize automatization and integration of optimization design and parameterized drawing, this thesis has studied on optimization design method of Controlled Speed Drive of the Belt Conveyor on the basis of the dependability engineering, fuzzy theory, programming theory and computer technology, also in virtue of AutoCAD2004 as supporting flat and program language Visual Basic6.0 which object oriented and visual oriented as a secondary developed tool. The main content included as follow: Firstly, kinematics, dynamics and transmission character of the Controlled Speed Drive has been analyzed; Secondly, On the basis of the dependability engineering, fuzzy theory and general optimization design, the general mathematical model of dissymmetrical mechanical fuzzy dependability optimization design and its solution have been presented. Thus, theoretical foundation for mathematical model of the Controlled Speed Drive of the Belt Conveyor is established. Thirdly, considering reality in project, this thesis takes volume as objective function; modulus, tooth etc as variables and fuzzy dependability, geometry restriction, additional restriction as restrictive conditions, and thus the mathematical model of fuzzy dependability optimization design for the Controlled Speed Drive of the Belt Conveyor is established. Finally, integrating the object oriented, visual oriented character of Visual Basic6.0 and perfect drawing function of AutoCAD2004 as a whole, this thesis designed a system for gear wheel optimization and parameterized drawing, thereby, the anticipative goals are all realized.
