Environmental pollution and resources wasting have become one of the main challenges which the world faces. China is the second largest country of energy consuming in the world. We have paied the high price for the rough-type model of economic development. The state environmental protection center predicted that automobile exhaust emissions of air pollution will be 64% by 2010. So environmental protection and energy saving have become urgent problems in every country. Along with the increasing of the world's energy crisis and the deteriorating of the global environment, environmental protection and energy issues have become an increasing concern, research and development of electric vehicles serve as an effective means solving energy and environmental issues because the electric vehicle (EV, Electrical Vehicle) is the zero emission or near-zero emissions vehicles. Recently it is accelerating the trend because it is simple, compact, easy to implement all-wheel drive, so it is widely used. In many electric drive systems of electric vehicle, driven motor drive system is researched as a new form of electric drive system electric car. It makes react-driven round wheels motor be directly installed in the clutch and omits gearbox, traditional main reducer and differential unit etc, which greatly simplify the vehicle structure and improve the transmission efficiency, thus it become development direction of electric cars in the future.Firstly, the paper introduces the wheel hub motors, including the application status and history. Secondly, the paper goes on the market analysis mainly from the support of national policies and the upstream industries and downstream industries, which uses the wave Special "five forces" model; Thirdly, it studies the technical feasibility of the project by using the SWOT analysis and economic feasibility. The Chapter V gives the summary of the investment value of the project. Compared with the traditional electric cars, the electric cars of wheel vehicle has the advantages of the structure, transmission efficiency, dynamic performance, driving range and so on which is the future direction of development of electric vehicles. Currently, the study of the motor with low-quality, high power the wheel hub is still hot. Meanwhile, electric steering wheel, driving, braking the motor torque and speed controlling are the key points in the future research.This paper uses the above methods to confirm that the electric wheel hub motors is a feasible project and draws conclusions: wheel hub motors is an effective method and alternative to solve the air pollution. When the wheel motor industry is developing, the electric vehicle industry is growing up too at the same time, which will speed up the industrialization process. The investment value of the project can be very high, and is promising to have bright future.
